Sculpted Silhouettes

A Collaboration in Form and Finish

Unveiled this week at Clerkenwell Design Week, our latest collaboration with Holmes Bespoke is a true expression of bespoke design — a coffee table that speaks to both material depth and individual narrative.

Designed in collaboration with Laylah, this piece draws its sculptural silhouette from the contours of the Quartz rug in her Hidden Gems collection. The result is a thoughtful translation from textile to furniture — refined, unexpected, and full of quiet energy.

The top is finished in richly textured shagreen leather, edged with a contemporary chamfer, and elevated on tapered, hand-hammered legs in antique bronze — a material pairing chosen for its balance of softness and strength.

As with all Simpsons pieces, the table is handmade to order in our Essex workshop, allowing for customisation in both proportion and finish. Whether specified in a different leather, alternate metal, or adjusted scale, each version retains its sense of intention and sculptural clarity.

This is bespoke design in its purest form — shaped by collaboration, guided by materiality, and made for interiors that value the individuality of the objects within them.

See It in Person
The piece is now on display at the Holmes Bespoke stand at Clerkenwell Design Week, and will be available to view in our Chelsea showroom following the event.
